Fee overview
Somatic Experiencing® was developed by Peter A. Levine.
The approach assumes that,
that traumatic stress is not only stored in the mind,
but also in the nervous system and in the body.
SE works with:
Body awareness (somatics)
small, well-dosed steps
Resources and stabilization
the recognition of stress reactions
the restoration of self-regulation
The pace is always adjusted to you.
Somatic Experiencing® can be helpful for:
persistent inner tension
Consequences of stress and exhaustion
Anxiety and feeling overwhelmed
Startle reactions and hypervigilance
Consequences of traumatic experiences
Difficulties with intimacy, boundaries, or body awareness
Important:
SE is not a "quick fix".
It is a process,
which is focused on sustainability and integration.
SE is a conversation facilitator –
but different from traditional talk therapy.
We work with the,
what is currently noticeable in the body:
breathing
Tension
Impulses
feelings
inner images
This is not about,
To "work through" or relive experiences.
But rather,
to enable the nervous system,
To gradually return to safety.
SE is suitable for people,
who want to work in a body-oriented way
want to build stability and internal security
who don't want to get lost in endless analyses
who desire a calm, clear environment
Also as an adjunct to psychotherapy
SE can be useful.
Alternative practitioner for psychotherapy (HP Psych)
