What is Sexological Bodywork?

Sexological Bodywork bei Eva & Jörg

Sexological Bodywork is a method that accompanies people to new experiences with their body, their sensory perception and their sexuality. In contrast to conventional sexual counseling or sexual therapy, Sexological Bodywork involves us as a resonance body and physical exercises geared towards your goal.

Learning is deepened by experiencing your own body. Through somatic learning, the emotional and erotic potential that our body holds can be expanded and deepened.

As sexological bodyworkers, we use a variety of methods to help people achieve body awareness and a sense of “being connected” with their own bodies. Sexological Bodywork always has a therapeutic approach so that the goal and intention are clear. We speak of professional closeness.

Knowledge transfer on all aspects of sexuality:

Sexological Bodywork brings together our collective experience from this and other training courses, our work as tantric masseurs and couples therapy. We take a loving, benevolent view of sexuality, partnership and physical reactions. We don’t just want to immerse ourselves in the matter mentally, but also understand it physically with you as a couple and explore new paths, the destination and speed of which you determine. This goes far beyond imparting knowledge and exploring gender-specific anatomy, injuries, forms of arousal, libido and orgasm.

Body oriented sex education:

  • Practicing acceptance and feeling love in physical touch
  • Mindful touch with various massage techniques
  • explore specific physical and emotional issues
  • Pelvic floor and anal massages
  • Orgasmic Yoga (consciously practiced self-love)

Who is Sexological Bodywork for?

Structure of a Sexological Bodywork session

A session usually lasts two to three hours and includes a counseling part and bodywork.

Since somatic learning also requires an integration period, it is advisable to attend support over a certain period of time. This can last between approx. 3 – 6 months or even longer.

Things to know about Sexological Bodywork

Sexological Bodywork was developed by Dr. Josef Kramer in California and is originally a method that combines Taoist and Tantric bodywork with resource-oriented coaching. The client learns to use the own strengths and integrate them into their life. Kramer developed these methods so that homosexual men in the AIDS-ridden 1980s could live a satisfying sensuality without direct sexual contact. Earlier names for this method were Body Electric School and Taoist Erotic Massage. Together with Dr. Annie Sprinkle, a leading figure in the field of “liberating female sexuality”, Sexological Bodywork was further developed and is now taught as a profession in the USA and, since 2009, in Switzerland at the International Institute for Sexological Bodywork IISB®. Sexological Bodywork is a profession recognized by the state of California. New knowledge is constantly being incorporated into training and further education.
